Course Lessons

A celebration of design and practice excellence, this seminar will review projects and activities that strive for excellence in design and sustainability, creating a healthier and more beautiful world to live in. AIA Colorado values the successful integration of sustainable design and uses the national AIA COTE Framework for design excellence “ten measures” to evaluate projects. The measures include: Design for Integration, Equitable Communities and Ecosystems; Design for Water, Economy and Energy; Design for Well-being, Resources, Change and Discovery. Colorado firms do amazing design work, and we are thrilled to highlight the sustainability efforts behind the great designs. Architects will share their stories of success supporting J.E.D.I. initiatives, creating healthy environments for their teams, and mentoring programs. In addition, they will share how this has improved their designs and the communities they serve.
